What a demo import actually does: it creates pages, posts and products, rebuilds your navigation menus, and overwrites every theme setting — header, footer, colors, typography and section layouts. It is intended for a fresh site. On a configured site, review the Settings Snapshot beforehand (see below) and take a full backup of your content, since snapshots restore settings, not pages and posts.

- A snapshot is taken automatically before a demo import, a settings import, or a reset.
- Restore any snapshot from SuperTheme → Import / Export → Settings Snapshots.
- Restoring also takes a snapshot first, so you can step back either way.
- The five most recent snapshots are kept; you can also save one manually at any time.
- Scope: theme settings, page layouts and menu locations. Pages, posts, products and media are ordinary WordPress content and need a full backup plugin.

🧭 How sub-menus behave
- First level: a sub-menu drops down directly under its menu item.
- Deeper levels: a sub-menu inside a sub-menu flies out to the side of its parent item (to the left on right-to-left sites), instead of opening over the menu.
- Items that have children show a small arrow.
- A fly-out that would run off the screen flips to the other side automatically.
- Sub-menus also open when an item receives keyboard focus.
- Phones: the mobile menu uses an accordion; tap an item with children to open or close it. You can choose whether the button and panel sit on the left or right.
- Mega menus are unchanged.

Section Builder
28 section types, on any page you like
Access: SuperTheme → Front Page. Use the Editing selector at the top to switch between the front page and any page using the Section Builder template.
📄 Building a page other than the front page
- Create a page, then set its Template to Section Builder and publish it.
- Go to SuperTheme → Front Page and pick the page from the Editing dropdown.
- Add sections, reorder by dragging, and save. Each page keeps its own set.
- Anything you type into the block editor still renders below the sections.

🛠️ Builder tools
- Preview: shows the page being edited with the sections currently on screen, saved or not. A second click refreshes the same tab. Only you can see it, and nothing is saved by previewing.
- Preview as of: pick a date and time to see which scheduled sections will be live then.
- Version history: the last 10 saved arrangements of each page or layout, including the one replaced by a reset. Restore puts a version on screen without saving, so you can review it first.
- Unsaved-changes warning: closing the tab, following a link, switching the Editing page or switching the front page layout asks first.
- Move up / Move down arrows next to the drag handle: reorder from the keyboard or a tablet. Screen readers are told the new position.
- Hide (eye icon): switch a section off without deleting it. The setting is saved.
- Duplicate: copy a section on the same page.
- Copy and Paste section: copy a section on one page, choose another page under Editing and press Paste section. It is added at the end with every field, then saved with the page.
- Large pages are safe: the whole page is sent as one field, so a big menu, gallery or team list is never cut short by the server's form-variable limit.
🔗 Link, visibility and schedule — in every section
- Anchor: give a section an anchor such as
contact, then link to#contactfrom a menu or button. - Hide on phones / tablets / desktop: phones are up to 767px, tablets 768–991px, desktops 992px and wider.
- Schedule (From / Until): for a seasonal offer, event banner or notice that should end by itself. Outside its window the section is not rendered at all, and its scripts and styles are not loaded. Times follow the site's own timezone; "Until 23:59" includes that minute.
- Each row shows where a section stands: Starts…, Until…, Ended… or Never shown.
- Page caches: saving plans a one-off WP-Cron event at each start and end that asks WordPress to clear that page's cache. WP-Cron runs when someone visits, so on a quiet site it can be a little late. Check that your cache plugin responds, or shorten its lifetime.

- Alternating light and dark bands are what make a stacked page look composed rather than piled up. The demos use them throughout.

- Products Limit: 1–24 products to display

- The Carousel layout scrolls and snaps with arrows and touch, and the chosen column count is respected from 2 to 6.
- Shop styles load automatically for a products section on the front page and on Section Builder pages. A section that is switched off or outside its schedule loads nothing.
🧾 Custom Content & Table Reservation
- Custom Content accepts a complete HTML document: pasted markup with its own
<html>and<body>is reduced to the body content. - Table Reservation can show a booking plugin's shortcode. With no form available, call and email buttons replace the empty slot.
- Plugin scripts and styles for a shortcode placed in any section load on that page.
🤖 AI Section Assistant
Draft a page's sections from a short description of your business
Optional. The assistant loads only in the admin and never touches the visitor-facing site. Set it up under General Settings → AI Assistant, then press Write sections with AI in the Section Builder.
4 Providers
Anthropic, Google Gemini, OpenAI (or any compatible service) and DeepSeek. You bring your own account; Test connection checks the key and model.
Added, not saved
Generated sections appear in the builder for review. Tick the ones you want, edit them like any other, and they only persist when you press Save.
Business Profile
Describe the business once instead of retyping it. Optional contact details are sent to the provider only when "Include my saved contact details" is ticked.
Usage Limits
See this month's requests and tokens. Set a daily request limit (default 50) and a monthly token limit. A refused request never reaches the provider.
No Invented Facts
Statistics and dates that are not in your description are dropped or flagged. Team, testimonial, pricing, product, gallery, map, video and shortcode sections are never generated.
Format My Own List
Paste your own FAQ, services or reviews and have them laid out in sections, with your exact words. Anything not placed is reported. Up to 8,000 characters at a time.
🔐 Privacy and security
- Only the business description you type is sent to the provider, never visitor data. Check your provider's terms: Google's free tier may use prompts to improve its products, and DeepSeek stores data on servers in China.
- The API key is stored encrypted, never sent back to the browser, and kept out of snapshots, resets and exports. To keep it out of the database, add
define( 'SUPERTHEME_AI_API_KEY', '…' );towp-config.php. - Administrators only, nonce-checked and rate limited, because every request costs you money.
- Generated HTML is limited to a short list of safe tags and links must be relative or in-page anchors. Generated shortcodes are never executed.

Q: How many demo layouts are included?

Q: Does demo import change my existing content?
Yes — treat it as a fresh-site operation. A demo import creates pages, posts and products, rebuilds your navigation menus, and overwrites every theme setting including header, footer, colors, typography and section layouts. A settings snapshot is saved automatically first, so theme settings can be restored, but pages and posts are not rolled back. Take a full backup before importing onto a site that already has content.
Q: Can I use the Section Builder on pages other than the home page?
Yes. Set a page's Template to Section Builder, then select that page from the Editing dropdown at the top of SuperTheme → Front Page. Every page keeps its own arrangement of sections.
Q: Is WooCommerce required?
No, WooCommerce is optional. The theme works without it. Install it only if you need e-commerce functionality.
Q: Is Elementor required?
No. The built-in Section Builder covers the same ground with 28 section types. The 22 Elementor widgets are there if you already use Elementor.
Q: Do I need a form plugin?
Not for the basics. Newsletter, contact and table-reservation forms are built in, with server-side validation and spam protection. Messages are emailed to the site admin address.
Q: Can I undo a demo import or a settings reset?
Yes, for theme settings. A snapshot is taken automatically beforehand and can be restored from SuperTheme → Import / Export. Restoring also snapshots the current state first. Note that pages, posts and media are not covered — use a backup plugin for those.
Q: Can I hide Demo Import once my site is live?
Yes. Under General Settings → Setup Tools you can hide Demo Import and Import / Export. Hiding also blocks the pages if the address is entered directly, and you can switch them back on at any time.
Q: Can I customize after importing a demo?
Yes. A demo is a starting point — colors, sections, layouts and every setting remain editable afterwards.
Q: Does the theme include AI features?
Yes, optionally. The Write sections with AI button in the Section Builder drafts a page from a short description. You bring your own Anthropic, Google Gemini, OpenAI-compatible or DeepSeek account, and you can set daily and monthly limits. Q: Can the AI invent statistics or reviews?

Q: Can I hide a section on phones only?
Yes. In Link, visibility and schedule, tick the devices to hide it on (phones, tablets, desktops). To remove it everywhere without deleting it, use the eye icon.
Q: Is the theme translation ready?
Yes. Over 1,900 translatable strings are included in the bundled .pot file, with full RTL support. A French (fr_FR) translation of the visitor-facing text is already compiled in; admin screens are still English.
Q: Does the theme include multi-currency support?
SuperTheme is compatible with popular multi-currency plugins such as WooCommerce Payments, WOOCS and Aelia Currency Switcher. We recommend these dedicated solutions for proper checkout conversion and payment gateway integration.
